Many colleges no longer require the SAT or ACT for college admissions or scholarships. It is important that you check the websites of colleges which you are considering to see if they require scores for admissions or scholarships. If a college requires the SAT or ACT, we recommend that students take the test in the spring of their junior year and/or the fall of the senior year.
California State Universities (CSU) and Universities of California (UC) no longer consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding scholarships.
Students who are going directly to a community college do not need to take the SAT or ACT.
